What:
-Learn about natural dye from Isa Rodrigues of the Textile Arts Center.
-Use the eco-print technique to dye a silk handkerchief
-Enjoy light refreshments.
-Take photos in our MagBooth.
What to Bring: handkerchiefs will be provided- please bring natural items and a plastic bag to use in dye process.

We're loving dyed items and counting the days to Thursday, May 31st, when theTextile Arts Center visits the Etsy Labs to teach- Etsy Hands-On: Natural Dye. RSVP and join us in the Etsy Labs. Teachers from the Textile Arts Center will talk about natural dye and show participants an eco-print technique where silk is wrapped around natural items and dipped into dye baths, made from onion skins, flowers and leaves. We will provide the dye and silk handkerchiefs, all you need to bring is 4-6 small sticks, smooth rocks, pieces of bark, or other natural items, to use in the dye process and a plastic bag to transport projects home. Because of limited space in the dye baths, this will not be an opportunity to dye items other than the provided silk handkerchiefs.
